NAVIGATING A STATE OF BEDLAM
Breathe in…hold it… breathe out. Do you feel that? A burst of energy that hit you when the sun crossed into Aries? Perhaps it felt exciting, or chaotic, overwhelming or even a bit frightening. Whatever the case, it’s here and made an entrance no less than noticeable. The day after the sun slipped into Aries (Tuesday, March 22nd), we experienced Uranus squaring Mars. Two of the most confrontational, impulsive and action oriented planets challenging each other, I can’t think of a more Aries themed beginning. The air was eventful, stressful, problematic and likely not an easy one. Though not ideal, this kind of transit encourages us to get over something we’ve been putting off, or abruptly brings something into our conscious awareness we’ve been avoiding. It is necessary to experience in order to move ahead.
As a congratulations for making it through yesterday, we’ve been gifted a Neptune - Mercury conjunction in Pisces today (March 23rd). I say this sarcastically, because Pisces is potentially Mercury’s least favorite sign to travel through. Mercury is ruled by Gemini and Virgo, two of the most analytical and intellectual signs. Mercury enjoys order, progression, clear communication, fixing problems, and moving on. It doesn’t have the time for creativity or emotions, nor does it care. Neptune is at home in Pisces, enjoying taking its time to explore the depths of imagination and sleeping in. This is confusing to Mercury, so the conjunction results in disorganized communication and misunderstandings. Today possibly felt foggy, drained or sensitive. It’s a great time for poetry, but be careful with your interactions as manipulation and illusion is present. Once Mercury shifts into Aries on March 27th, intentions and communication will be a lot more direct and clear. Hold onto whatever ground you can until then, try not to let Neptune carry you away in its act of smoke and mirrors.
We’re still in the transition period. As mentioned last week, our path is becoming more clear but we’re still in the woods. As soon as Mercury enters Aries we’ll feel like we’ve been given a map, and our path becomes apparent. Use this Mercurian shift to find your feet and return to stable ground, because you’ll need it come Monday, the 28th. Saturn makes a conjunction with Venus in Aquarius, challenging our values and the way we approach our relationships. Saturn asks us to cut the shit, and be brutally honest about the ways we are holding ourselves back. It encourages us to step into more maturity and responsibility, or brings awareness and honesty to the things that are not working. Venus represents our values, aesthetics, relationships, love and art. When these two meet, especially in a sign like Aquarius, we are asked to seriously evaluate what we consider important, and to make real changes where they are needed. This could be as monumental as a breakup or as seemingly small as taking a break from social media. Neither one is more important than the other, and both have tremendous potential to align you with your intended path.
While this week may feel chaotic, try to embrace the chaos as a warm welcome into Aries season. Trust that the intensity is intentional and temporary. Once Aries season is in full swing, things will begin to shift from a feeling of bedlam to a feeling of child-like excitement. Tread lightly and take note of what comes into focus, you’re gonna be just fine.
LOVE, JENNA
